In today's business environment, organizational development is synonymous with change. High performance organizations are able to successfully adapt to the rapidly changing world of the twenty-first century. Bert David Associates (BDA) assists organizations in transitioning through potentially stressful periods of organizational change. Utilizing the three-phase process described below, BDA enables organizations to not only survive the change process, but also to emerge from the experience more productive and dynamic than before.

Phase 1:  Needs Analysis
  • BDA will administer and analyze Myers-Briggs Type indicator (optional). Information gleaned from the MBTI enables BDA to understand group dynamics operating within the organization's culture.
  • BDA will conduct a series of on-site interviews to learn about current issues within the organization from a variety of perspectives at all levels of employment. These interviews enable BDA to focus its efforts on the specific needs and concerns of the client work force.
Phase 2:  Program Design/Development
  • BDA will utilize data obtained through the Myers-Briggs activity and/or the on-site interviews to identify specific course objectives, and customize seminar curriculum.
  • BDA will plan appropriate learning modules (examples: Strategic Consensus Building, Team Building, Interpersonal Communications etc.) and activities that respond to identified objectives and individual client's needs.
  • BDA will design an interactive seminar or series of seminars to lead participants through the change process.
Phase 3:  Seminar  Delivery
  • Participants will learn and apply the William Bridges model of Transition Management.
  • Participants will assess their current level of functioning with respect to the desired transition.
  • Participants will identify modifications to organizational structures and practices that are necessitated by the transition.
  • Participants will identify modifications to individual attitudes and behaviors that must occur to bring about the desired state.
  • Participants will incorporate these individual and collective modifications into a detailed plan of action to arrive at the desired state.
The transition plan is the end product of the seminar or series of seminars. At the conclusion of the seminar, BDA will work with the client organization to ensure effective implementation of the transition plan through ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and revision.
